My Dream of Living in a Casino

I absolutely adore a casino. The casino is my idea of the "high life" and luxurious decadence. I used to have a dream about making the whole of my life living in a casino. Waking up in the morning and hearing the jangle of the slot machines, the calls of the bets at the blackjack tables, the sounds of the numbers in the keno games. What could be more exciting than living your whole life in a casino? You have an abundance of food and drink. If you are lucky, you can live from your winnings. If you're not lucky, you have to have a lot of money stashed away in savings. If you are a standard, average gambler, you can generally break even.

Would I Get Tired of Living in a Casino?

The more I think about the subject of living in a casino, the more I begin to believe that it may not be such a good idea. The casino is an exciting and fascinating place to be because we are NOT there ALL the time. I suppose that if I were to actually live there, the casino life would pall on me after a month or two. My dream of living in a casino would probably turn into a nightmare. After all, "variety is the spice of life" and there is only a limited amount of variety in a casino. Yes, I still love and adore the casino, but it's better to frequent one only once in a while and not actually live in one.
