Online Casino Games - Multi-Hand Hold'em High Poker

What Is Multi-Hand Hold'em High Poker?

Multi-Hand Hold'em High is an online poker game loosely based on Texas Hold'em Poker. Like Texas Held'em, it requires combining your two hole cards and five community cards to create the best possible poker hand. It differs from Texas Hold'em in that Hold'em High is a solitaire poker game that you play against the payout schedule — not against other poker players.

In addition, online Hold'em High Poker features an optional side bet on your two hole cards alone.

How to Play Online Hold'em High Poker

To play online Hold'em High Poker, you first place a bet in the Ante circle on the virtual poker table. To place your poker bet, first click on the poker chip of the size you want, and then click on the Ante circle on the virtual poker table. Each click in the Ante circle will add one chip to your bet.

After you have placed your poker bet, click the Deal button. Two cards will be dealt face up, and five community cards will be dealt face down.

At this point, you must choose to Fold, Call, or Raise.

  • If you fold, you lose your Ante bet and the game is over.
  • If you call, another bet equal to your Ante bet is placed in the Bet circle.
  • If you raise, another bet equal to double your Ante bet is placed in the Bet circle.

If you fold, you lose your Ante bet, the cards are removed from the virtual poker table, and the game is over.

If you call or raise, the five community cards are turned over. Your two cards plus any three of the five community cards are combined to form your final decision hand. (The computer will select the three community cards that are to your best advantage.) Your five-card final decision hand is then examined to see if you have a winning poker hand.

How to Win Online Hold'em High Poker

To win online Hold'em High Poker, you need at least two pairs, of which at least one is a pair of jacks or better. Two pairs pays out 1 to 1.

The higher winning poker hands, of course, have higher payouts. Three of a kind pays 2 to 1. For three of a kind, you don't need jacks or better. Three 5s are just as good as three kings in Hold'em High Poker.

A straight — five consecutive cards — pays 5 to 1. A flush — five poker cards of the same suit — pays 7 to 1. As your winning poker hands get better — a full house, four of a kind, or a straight flush — the Hold'em High Poker odds also get better. The very best poker hand is a royal flush, which pays out a phenomenal 500 to 1. With a $10 poker bet, and a lot of luck, you could win $5,000 instantly.

    Hold'em High Poker Strategy

As in any poker game, you are going to win some hands and lose some hands in Hold'em High Poker. To come out ahead in a long run of playing poker, you need to try to keep your losses small and make your winnings big. Thus, the central element in Hold'em High Poker strategy is knowing when to fold, when to call, and when to raise. A good poker betting strategy is always the key to winning at poker in the long run.

A good Hold'em High Poker strategy is to follow these guidelines:

  • Raise when you have a high pair (jacks or better) or when you have consecutive cards of the same suit;
  • Call if you have a low pair, consecutive cards of different suits, or non-consecutive cards of the same suit.
  • Fold if you have none of the poker hands described above.

Of course, no poker strategy is going to be foolproof. The poker cards are always full of surprises — that's what makes it gambling, and that's what makes it fun. So feel free to try different Hold'em High Poker strategies and see what works for you.

The Hold'em High Poker Side Bet

The Hold'em High side bet is independent of your regular Ante bet. Your side bet can be higher, lower, or the same as your Ante bet. You can even skip the regular Hold'em High Poker game entirely and make only a side bet. Conversely, you can skip the side bet and make only the regular Hold'em High poker bet. The choice is entirely yours when you play Hold'em High Poker online.

You make a side bet by first clicking on the size of the poker chip you want, and then clicking on the Side Bet circle on the virtual poker table. Each click adds one poker chip to your bet.

The side bet is determined solely by your two initial face-up poker cards. Two cards of the same suit pays out 5 to 2 on your side bet. A king and ace of the same suit pays out 25 to 1. And a king and ace of spades pays out 50 to 1.

It is possible to win your side bet and lose your ante bet, just as it is possible to win your ante bet and lose your side bet. For this reason, many people consider it a wise Hold'em High Poker strategy to always make an ante bet and a side bet. That way, you can maximize your chances of winning and minimize your losses.

Multiple Hands of Online Hold'em High Poker

With Multi-Hand Hold'em High Poker at Wild Jack Online Casino, you can play anywhere from one to five hands at a time. You will see that there are five places at the virtual poker table, each with its own Ante circle, Bet circle, and Side Bet circle. Each hand that you choose to play receives its own two hole cards, while the five community cards are the same and are used in all the hands. You can play each hand independently: you can bet different amounts, you can make different strategy decisions, and you can win some hands and lose others.

When you play multiple hands of Hold'em High Poker, you will find that you have five times the fun and five times the excitement of playing poker online.
